History: The 1300 Giulietta Spider Veloce was ahead of its time when first introduced in the mid 1950’s. It has a beautiful Pininfarina designed body, a 1.3-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine, and a four-speed transmission. It was a true roadster without a quarter vent window, and when the soft top was down, it was flush with the rear deck.  Only 2,796 were built during its production run. Approximately 1,000 of the highly desirable 750F Series like this car were produced.  They are an example of Italian design and engineering excellence. According to factory records, 149504663 was completed on August 27, 1958, and delivered to the Hoffman Motor Car Company of New York.

After sitting stagnant since the 1970s, it was purchased by Los Angeles based Alfa Romeo enthusiast, Brandon Adrian, who commissioned a complete restoration of the vehicle by Anthony Rimicci of Santos Italian Car Service of Los Angeles. Selling to its next owner, it comes to Grand Prix Classics in La Jolla, California, where extensive details are carried out to complete the restoration to the highest level; resulting in a Best in Class Concours Award in 2023.

Condition: A matching numbers engine, transmission, and colors. The vehicle underwent a full bare-metal restoration which was extensively documented and reached completion in 2022. This included an engine rebuild by an Alfa Romeo Specialist in Southern California with original Veloce cylinder head, new pistons, bearings, cam shafts, Veloce oil pan and Weber DCO3carburetors. The gearbox was rebuilt with new syncros, bearings and seals. Complete rebuild of suspension and brakes. The exhaust system, manifold, and other components were also restored.

This Giulietta is correct down to the last detail. Original hose clamps, stamped hardware, Marelli ignition, correct distributor, BOSCH horn, Trico windshield wipers, Carello lamps and Pirelli Cinturato tires. The  chassis is solid and tight, the engine well-tuned, and the steering  communicative. Prized for their eager balance and performance, 149504663  drives as a great 750F Giulietta Spider Veloce should.

Includes: Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin, restoration records, receipts and photos. Jack tool kit, owner’s manual, and yellow and black California license plates.

Of Note: Over $200,000 has been invested in restoring this Giulietta Spider to the highest level. It is one of the best in the country!
