History: The Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin shows the build on March 6, 1957, and delivery to distributor Max Hoffman in New York on March 22, 1957. This is a USA model in Bianco (white). After a series of US owners, it is purchased by Bello Moto of San Francisco, which specializes in Italian micro cars and scooters. Bello Moto sells the car in 2017 to a Los Angeles based owner who has the car until 2023.
Condition: During the ownership of the Italian owner of Bello Moto, the car was sent to Italy to be comprehensively restored. This entailed a body strip and repaint, all chrome, new interior upholstery and soft top, plus mechanical work including an engine rebuild. Some documents and many photos of the restoration work
In March of 2023, the car came to Grand Prix Classics, where we performed a thorough inspection and $11,000 in service and repair work: carburetor, engine service, fluid check, brake bleed, brake rebuild, generator rebuild, new starter, adjusted trunk latch, adjusted soft top, repaired seat tracks, and much vetting. Then new Vredestein tires, and then road tested.
Of Note: This is a matching numbers, colors US delivered Spider Normale. A very nice driver that is solid, without rust and fairly priced for its condition.
