History: The 1300 Giulietta Spider Veloce was ahead of its time when first introduced in the 1950’s. It has a beautiful Pininfarina designed body, a 1.3-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine, and a four-speed transmission. It was a true roadster without a quarter vent window, and when the soft top was down, it was flush with the rear deck. Only 2,796 were built during its production run.
Approximately 1,000 of the highly desirable 750F Series like this car were produced. They are an example of Italian design and engineering excellence. According to factory records, 149504663 was completed on August 27, 1958, and delivered to the Hoffman Motor Car Company of New York. After sitting stagnant since the 1970s, it was purchased by a Los Angeles based Alfa enthusiast, who commissioned a complete restoration of the vehicle. It is now complete, stunning, and ready for show or rally.
Condition: A matching numbers engine, transmission, and colors. The vehicle underwent a full bare-metal restoration which was extensively documented and reached completion in 2022. This included an engine rebuild by an Alfa Romeo Specialist in Southern California with original Veloce cylinder head, new pistons, bearings, cam shafts, Veloce oil pan and Weber DCO3 carburetors. The gearbox was rebuilt with new syncros, bearings and seals.
Complete rebuild of suspension and brakes. The exhaust system, manifold, and other components were also restored.
