The first owner, Gustavo Quintero, purchased it in 1958. In 1961, Mr.Quintero sold the BMW 507 to a young Mr. Ruben Senior. It remained in Mr. Seniors’ care until 2015. At that time, it was shipped to Florida and in the care of Mr. Senior’s son. It is still a two-owner car with a history record from new.
Condition:
During Mr. Seniors long ownership he took great care of his beloved 507, doing all needed service and refurbishment. Detailed records show that between 1966 and 1967, extensive mechanical work on the engine, clutch, transmission, and brakes was performed at BMW’s authorized dealership in Caracas. It was refinished in white in 1986, the color first owner Gustavo Quintero had ordered. At this time the upholstery was retrimmed in the original red leather.
In 2010 the canvas top and weatherstripping were replaced. Once in Florida, between 2016 and 2020, its carburetors were cleaned and tuned, and the radiator was inspected and sealed. The transmission and clutch were sent to the original manufacturer, ZF in Germany, where they were fully refurbished. All four brakes were inspected and restored at White Post Restorations in Virginia. Today this 507 represents as a rare two-owner example with extensive records from new. Owned the past 64 years by one meticulous owner who loved his 507.

Description:
The BMW 507 was a hand-built, luxury sports car with a stunning body shape. The iconic design was created by Albrecht von Goertz, who was a protégé of industrial designer Raymond Loew. It featured an aluminum body. The lightweight, hand-formed aluminum body was a key element in its lightweight design and gave each car a unique finish due to the manual crafting process.
The body sat on a tubular steel ladder frame. Power was from a 3.2 liter all aluminum V8 engine producing 150BHP mated to a 4 speed ZF transmission.
