History: Selling new in Missouri in 1932 to the first owner who kept the car until 1953. Selling to second owner Gene and Frances Canady, of Knoxville, Tennessee in 1953 who build it into a Hot Rod. Using the best build parts of the era. After it was finished, it became well known in Knoxville, Tennessee, as Ludie Belle because of the name and alluring lady painted on the spare tire cover.

Then selling to his nephew, Alex Bollinger. Alex lives in Los Angeles and keeps this car in the family, has his son, who owns Performance Restoration Services in Chatsworth, California, restore it just as it was in 1953. His detailed efforts result in the car winning the Grand National Roadster Show in its class in 2006. It has been in the family for 71 years. Stored, loved and pampered.

Condition: An all steel body. Ford flat head V8, Navarro heads, Edelbrock manifold. Vega steering box. Original 1940 Ford spindles outfitted with 1948 brakes. Original rear differential was replaced with a 1940 in 1953. The best performance parts of the times.

Beautifully restored by expert hot rodders and craftsmen in 2004 – 2006. Reupholstered by Mike Ambrose Upholstery in North Hills, California. All parts possible rebuilt and painstakingly restored to the exact specifications to which it was built in 1953 with the exception of few minor modifications for safety and comfort.

Of Note: Two family owners from new. Built into a hot rod in 1953. Grand National Roadster Show class winner in 2006. Featured in Hot Rod Builder Magazine in 2009. Same Family ownership for the past 71 years. Meticulously cared for. It is very rare to find an all steel, original 1932 Three-Window Coupe built into a hot rod in the 1950’s.
