1966 Lotus Cortina Grand Prix Classics
ColorWhite with Green Side Stripe

Old original SCCA log book dating back to the early 1970s shows this car raced in Arizona Region B Sedan with Buzz Rose. Later to Northern California with Bruce Terrill then in San Diego to Bob Spriggs who had it maintained for over 15 years by Bill Schlossnagel. It then went to Victor Avila who also ran a Lotus 26R. The most recent owner, Art Miller, kept the Cortina in California and in the care of Schlossnagel as did Avila.

The Lotus Cortina was famous for winning the English and European Touring Car Championships in 1964-1965 era. In the United States, it was competitive in the 1966 Under 2-Liter Trans-Am Championship. In the early years, they were driven by racing greats like Jim Clark, Jacky Ickx and Sir John Whitmore. Today, they are eligible for historic car racing events worldwide.

Very nicely restored to original specifications with interior trim, full dash, seats, etc. Recent complete engine rebuild by twin cam expert Bill Schlossnagel (Build Sheet and Dyno Sheet accompany records). Close ratio gearbox, limited slip differential. Very low time. This Cortina can be raced as well as driven on the street.
