History:

Lotus factory records show 23-S-42 with frame number AM22 being delivered on 15/1/63 color blue with DOHC to Sports Motors. The first Lotus 23 delivered with 1.6 liter Lotus twin cam. Further documents show race history with Rodney Bloor including a win at Goodwood in 1963, as well as an interesting English racing history.

Condition:

Professionally prepared by VRM with low time Lotus twin cam Hewland 5 speed. Recent rebuild of all four suspension corners. Excellent records of work done, including engine dyno sheet.

Comments:

It’s very rare to find a genuine Lotus 23 with proper chassis number, Arch Motors frame number, a known history, and properly prepared with very low time. Has racing log book, lap charts, restoration bills, a letter from Rodney Bloor, and period photos from mid 1960s.
