This is a fully restored car to a very high level.  It is in impeccable condition and ready to drive or show.  All body, paint, chrome, interior, leather, trim, etc., has been restored.  Mechanicals include a $40,000 engine rebuild, also brakes, suspension, hoses, lines and more.  This is the more powerful European version 365 GTB4A  with a 9:3.1 compression ratio.  Not only is it more powerful than the USA version but it has a better exhaust note.  There is nothing more powerful than the sound of a Ferrari V12.  It is also equipped with the larger 8" and 9" wheels.

History:

The 365 GTB4 was called the Daytona in recognition of the 330 P4's finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Daytona 24 hour race.  The 365 GTB4 is the last front engine V12 Ferrari road car of the old era.  It personifies Ferrari's idea of the Gran Tourismo automobile for high speed touring.  First introduced at the Paris Auto Salon in 1968, the 365 GTB4 replaced the 275 GTB4.  Although still a Pininfarina design, the 365GTB4 was setting a new styling trend.  The engine is a development of the Lampredi V12 used in the 275 GTB4.  365cc per cylinder, it is a 4.4 liter developing 352 BHP.  Only 1406 Daytonas were built, of those 158 were right hand drive coupes , 122 were spyders (of which 7 were right hand drive).  USA exports were successful so the 365 GTB4A European better performing coupe becomes a rare Daytona.
