History: Porsche factory records show this car was entered by Porsche's competition department in the Targa Florio on May 14th, 1967 and driven by Gerhard Mitter and Colin Davis. On July 23rd, the car was entered in the Mugello 1000km race driven by Gerhard Mitter and Udo Schutz where it finished 1st overall. Its race successes continued as a private entry. Entered in the Osterreichring 1000kms at Zeltweg by Ben Hur Racing and driven by Helmut Klocke and Hans Bohlmeir, plus races at Zolder, Zandvoordt, Salzburg, Hockenheim and the Nurburgring. It then passed through a series of owners ending up having its racing career revived once again in the 1990's and extensively in 2000 with entries in historic events at the Nurburgring, Spa Six Hours, Lemans Classic and Monterey Historics.
Condition: It was restored in 2001 by specialists Hall and Hall in Bourne, Lincolnshire, England.  Superb race preparation by J and L Fabrications in Seattle, Washington.
